Midsummer in northern Idaho.  I was visiting friends near Bonners Ferry, as I have each summer since 2001.  The barley was ripe and ready for harvest, and as the rising sun struck the dry stalks the field turned to liquid gold.  I snuck out with my camera as my friends slept off the night’s poker and beer.
